LIMA

The capital of Peru, Lima is a great place to visit. It was for Elizabeth and I anyway. We stayed in a 5 star hotel as part of a $10,000 package that I am sure today would be double that. We were right in the midst of the Mira Flores market area which is THE upscale place to be for great restaurants and shopping. I bought an incredibly beautiful Peruvian jacket here which, years later, unfortunately, the Brazilian cleaners at my house in Mass stole! Thieving shitheads.

Lima. It was just a short walk down to the ocean's edge where we saw hang gliders everywhere.

What you see here is a guinea pig. Yes they eat them big time in Peru--maybe in other S American countries too. They are trying to promote the eating of them here in the States now. Apparently they are good for you and certainly better for the environment than eating beef.
